cultural exchange in ethnic cuisines
Has anyone tried Szechuan food? They are famous for their spices and Mala (sour and spicy) steamboat. They called that Ying and Yang steamboat, where the boiling soup is separated into two different compartment. One is a regular chicken stock soup base and the other one is the sour and spicy soup base. Here's a video showcasing three Japanese women whose visiting Szechuan to try out the different kinds of food offered in that country. Their expressions appear to be exaggerating at times, but that is typical for Japanese TV.
