seeing doubles on a Tuesday

Lately i have been having periodical visions of blur. I thought it was due the incompatibility of my eye sight with my eye-wear. Yeah, who can think of that word in this context right? I found out later that this problem of mine all bogs down to the word 'AGE'. As one grows old,I mean really really old like mua, the focusing strength of the eye becomes weak and therefore, one will have a blur vision even with perfect eye-wear. The next thing that I should look for is 'Glaucoma'. This common problem amongst the elderly is not common in my family history, but you never know.
It was not a productive day for me. I was technically uninvolved in the promotion exercise, so I just have to sit quietly at my desk and be available to anyone at all times. I planted myself at my desk for the entire morning. All I did is check my email time and time again. To sum up the "action packed" morning, it was like F5 to refresh, after 5 minutes later, F5 refresh again. This cycle kept looping for 5 solid hours. Whose the man? I am the mail man!

New week ahead. And we have English Language, GCE 'O' levels starting tomorrow.

While my fellow comrades are frenzy marking, my tummy is cooking up a storm. Any time soon, tornado and tsunami will strike at the rear end. I shall work in close proximity to the loo. Better be safe than sorry.

I am taking a short breather from the never-ending marking. Looks like I have three large piles to go and on top of that, more summary questions.
I was out for lunch with Woo when I detoured from office. I took a short joyride with him to the garage to have his car air-conditioning fixed. 25 bucks to get the cold air and a free rear brake light change. Not bad.
It was like 34 Degrees outside. My God! And the humid factor will make you sweat like a horse or a pig or both.

Graduation Day Tomorrow

Them, a bunch of self centered individuals. It is their own graduation day and they chose to absent themselves on this day. A once in a life-time thing and they prefer to stay home and rot. Considering how much the school has done for them, this is the way they end up.

When one choose to ignore and disregard of the things around him or her, one often will acknowledge himself or herself by fabricating all sorts of lame excuse to justify the cause.
Two words to sum up: irresponsible and ignorant. Grow up lah! People!

When you join the working force, nobody out there will be that forgiving and tolerant towards you. By that time it will be too late to do anything. Whats done cannot be undone. And you will have to bite the bullet and learn life by living the hardest way possible.

Thursdays - Crumpled days

I am wearing a crumpled shirt to work today. All thanks to last minute, half-hearted ironing work. I did a quick 5 minutes ironing in the morning. Apparently that was not enough. The fabric is tough and the wrinkles stay put.

The thing I hate most about ironing is getting the right temperature for the fabric. Some fabric get burn easily and not to mention fabric with some rubber content. What is the physics in rubber? Some stubborn fabric simply refuses to straighten up even after multiple run over by the piping hot iron.
When all else fail then it is time for plan B. seek new fabric or seek external aid (Laundromat)

Another day, another mould hill to climb, just another one of those days. :(

I accompanied Mr Woo to get his new phone yesterday. Using an existing $150 voucher plus a pathetic phone trade in price of $40, he only paid like 98 bucks for a brand new Nokia phone. Not a bad deal afterall. Lucky fella!

Lately I am at constantly at a lost. I think I need some sort of direction in my life. Something to look forward to and something to work for. For now even though I am relinquish of the form teacher-ship as of now, I still feel like I am responsible for their well-being. I must be nuts.

I was reading the LIFE section this morning. And one of the travel article mentioned a new honeymoon fad. Couples are taking long unpaid leave or they quit their jobs to spend their honeymoon in rustic, undeveloped, third-world countries. Some spent several years volunteering themselves in social work. It was unlike a typical honeymoon getaway like the way I pictured it. Now let me ask you. How many of us can afford to put everything our jobs, family, financial burdens aside and commit ourselves in doing things that are meaningful?


My only worry now is what lies ahead at the end of the year. My fate has not been determined. I made a call to the posting department yesterday. They said that all I can do now is WAIT. Sigh.

Sunday - close of the weekend

It is a relatively slow day. I took a long nap in the late afternoon and I have a heavy brunch. It was chicken noodles plus a bowl of rice with vegetables. Since I am still stuffed, I am going to give dinner a miss. :P
oh guess who i saw on a bus yesterday afternoon? Drum roll pls!


Mr Chen Wei Lian. He certainly did not appear to be excessively flamboyant, even with his huge success in the music business. Good for him, being humble and still down to earth. Not many people will be able to embrace success and at the same time show humility.

Saturday endings

I am watching Shark week on tv. This documentary looks at shark attacks mostly in the perspective of victims. Sharks are biting randomly. Why? They say the silhouette of a human swimming on the surface resembles a seal. And most attack happens when the water is murky.
It is 10pm. I have a sudden crave for French Fries. Should I order in or should I not?

bk at work on a Thursday

I was on training yesterday. And during lunch break they had the Bee Gees live in concert running on a loop. It drove me insane for 30 minutes. My suggestion to corporate punishment: get offenders to watch the Bee Gees concert for 12 hours straight.

Had my 2 hours power nap. Wide awake and burst with energy. Time for lunch :) DIY Spaghetti with mushroom soup. Hey that long hair dude reminds me of someone.

Weekend Beginnings

I went for my run in the morning. And right after, huge mother-load of pouring rain. Talk about the perfect timing.
I watched 300 days of Summer yesterday. I strongly recommend anyone who thinks that relationship is based on sheer fate and coincidence to go see it . This is not the typical date movie though. I do like the screen writer's take on the subject. : )
I am planning on getting the new Vertical Horizon's album. I have been listening to their tracks online. One word to describe that album: AWESOME!!!
