one of those rare breeds

OMG this live version of What's Going On gives me the goosebumps. Compliments of course. Check out the lyrics of this song. It is meaningful.
The one below is a more recent live recording of Cyndi Lauper's True Colors (American Spelling). The is absolutely brilliant.

Friday Night

This song has been ringing in my head for a few days. Especially this verse from the start of the song, "my grandma and your grandma sitting by the fire."
I am going to chill out tonight with a glass of wine, accompanied by some nice rap music by 2Pac :)
have a good weekend my friends.

Brain Drained

I chanced upon another Mr Chua. Do you see the strange resemblance?

Tiredness leads to uselessness.
Tiredness leads to retardation. And retardation leads to more mistake being made at work. More mistakes made equates to one having to be succumb to excessive degrading pep-talks by the boss. The mind bogging pep-talks leads to further confusion and further confusion finally leads to oneself convincing himself as a living, talking USELESS individual. Yup. Thats me!
i am so going to get this. Hopefully this coming weekend.

got my wireless up

Got my wireless up and running but signal is weak when I connect it via my room :( sigh
Shall I get a signal booster?

One more day to the weekend

Things are not going so fantastic at work. I am not going to say in specifics, because I am NOT allowed to. CENSORSHIP. BEEP BEEP BEEP! Think I will spend more time time at home from now on. Nothing beats spending time with the family and friends.
Weather has gone nuts these days. And warm weather is making everyone MAD.
Come to think of it, it reminded me of that Mad World song.

Start of the week

Stacks of unmarked scripts left on the table and I keep adding to the pile. This rate that I am going, I am going nowhere. I have got to find a solution for this problem. (tapping fingers on table top)
Time check 2207, I am done uploading the online quizzes needed for tomorrow. And off I go to the other room to iron my shirt.

sunday

I spent the entire day fixing my mother's pc and finally got it to connect to the wireless after countless trial and error. The cause of the problem? The anti-virus application firewall.

Brain dead in the morning. I am heading straight back to bed :)
Installing sleep version 2.0
Here's a 101 know-how about excessive sleep :)

Mid week

Got back to work after a four days break. I was feeling lethargic in the morning. likely due to lack of sleep. I was like suffering from anxiety attack through-out the night. I woke up like every hour to check my watch, ensuring that I will NOT run late for work the next morning. Insane in the Membrane!! When the alarm finally rang, I was flustered and exhausted all at the same time. Then I had to drag myself out of bed and kick myself in the behind and get my lazy butt to work. It was a rough start in the morning. The good thing was that I pulled through without breaking a leg. Phew!

The new Hinder album is not so shabby. Thanks bro for sharing.

day break on Monday

Two days of all channel access given free by Starhub cable television. :)
I am watching NBA All-star game on ESPN as we speak. If only I had the bucks to pay for all the channels.
With so much to watch for and so much information at tip of fingers, my Life would be different.

Day one of CNY

day one of CNY. Folks are doing the routine year after year and I am tagging along as usual. I am hoping to cover two homes in the afternoon and then bid my farewell before 1900 hrs. then get back home by 2030 hrs, so that I can spend two solid hours in leveling up my FFXII characters. I am looking forward to the two days break tomorrow and day after.

saw a little excerpt on the papers about her recently. And I decided to check her out. Ladies and Gentlemen, our local born and bred self-made-it singer, Inch CHua.
She is headed to Texas for a music festival. And it is on special invites only. Not bad! Not bad at all!!

Wednesday

Mid week. Two more days to go before we start the long holiday weekend. Yippie. I am so going to spend a day leveling up my characters in FFXII and then maybe frag some bad ass on Army of Two. Okay before I get carried away, I should just concentrate on getting through the next two days without stepping on MINES.
Tomorrow will be day of reckoning. Make or Break, all depends on the sales of the Roses. Whoever is reading this, please send a little prayer for me. Pls let the Student Hub make a little profit from the sale of roses. You have my utmost sincere thanks!

tuesdays

Had the worse kind of heart-burn like 3 hours ago. Felt like a knife constantly being pushed deeper into the tip of my stomach, right between my rib-cage.
Feel a little better now. I am staying away from spicy food for the time being.

I am selling roses for $1.50 per stalk. It is student hub's very first project for year 2010. Hopefully the pace picks up tomorrow when orders are confirmed. :)
keeping my fingers crossed...

Monday - I HATE MONDAYS!

Weather was crazy in the morning. Stale air with NO wind. And the air reeks of burning wood. Can it be the Indonesia forest fire burning again? Perpetrated by farmers themselves who claim that they have little resources to help clear forested land. We do not know yet. Let's just wait to find out.

whats with girls with short hairdo?
Answer: I like. :)

King for a day :P

This song reminds me of secondary school days. Yeah in the early 80s.
I remember listening to this track on cassette tapes with Side A and Side B.
The cumbersome thing is that you have to rewind the tape if you wanted the same track on repeat. The trick is to play Side B long enough while Side A rewind itself, if you knew what I mean. sigh. I miss cassette tapes and walkman.

Sunday! Say Bye Bye

Work resumes in less 24 hours. Live to work or work to live? I saw an episode of the new TV series, Trauma, last night. Episode 8 was about this guy who went on a killing rampage after having been let go from his work. Yeah! retrenchment. I kinda understand why some go to the extreme to make a statement known to the world. Some choose to protest and some commit an act of violence. I do NOT condone an act of violence, but I do empathise those these people.
Alrightie then! Time to get some REAL work done at home. Here's a song that gave me goosebumps. Er! As in I am emotionally moved by this live performance. Check this out and enjoy your remaining parts of the weekend. :)

In case you did not know, the lead singer of Journey was Steve Perry. Quite unfortunately, he is afflicted with a bone disease and therefore he has to leave the band.
Journey, the band found this new guy Arnel Pineda from the Philippines on youtube. He sounds a bit different from Steve Perry on the high notes.

Saturday at work

Office appears to be awfully quiet this morning. Could not see a single soul other than Madam Shital. If only everyday was this peaceful. Perhaps work will be a better place to be. Less intensity, less action and running at a slower pace.

Thursday

Things appear to be fine on the outside, but the underlying truth is that everything is tattered and torn in the inside. This is merely the second month of school and they are becoming more complacent as each day passes.

If anyone of you should read this message, this is the time to ask yourself if you would want to waste 6 months of your life and end up at the same place, ITE.

Suffer now and enjoy later? or Enjoy now and suffer later? You choose.
