Sunday. Sabbath day. YOu are not allowed to work - Instruction from GOD

I went for a run this morning. My legs fell asleep after covering less than 1/3 of my usual running route. Pathetic. Then I went to a coffee shop across the park to get breakfast instead. The Wanton noodles is surprisingly good. The black sauce is superb and heavy in taste. I will make it a point to eat there next week. :P
This is Sunday and I have not got any work done all weekend long. I have got to work on my resume soon. I must and I will. :P
I am on level 5 in the Alan Wake game. And I started playing since Friday evening and I am glued to the tv ever since. This one is a whole lot different from the regular zombie games like Resident's Evil and Silent Hill.
Okay, I have got to get back to gaming. Enjoy the rest of the weekend and be sure to spend a bit of time to work on ENGLISH. :P Read a book maybe?
Shrug! I have not given 2EB their holiday assignments.

Mid week and term coming to a close

There are still work to be done for those who are under-taking the 'O' Levels examination at the end of the year. PTC tomorrow and then the rest of the cohort will be released officially for June holidays. :)
Holiday assignments for 2EB? Sure. Why not?

Today's EL remedial for sec 5s turned out to be a whole lot of fun. I think the reason was because I did not treat it like a regular lesson. I was able to joke and had fun chatting with the students assigned under me.
Public Holiday on Friday, yeah! I am so looking forward to it.

Inching closer to the end of the week. Script check over and done with. I am sure people get the general idea where they are heading. Good. For most people, living the truth is a better learning experience than imagining it. What I am trying to say is that, one has to fail in order for one to learn. Hopefully these people will wake the HELL up before it becomes too late. Your life in your own hands.

2EB!!! Time to pick yourself up from rock bottom or else Normal Academic welcomes you. :)

Monday without the Blues but with lotsa rain

Weather has gone crazy. Now it rain constantly. I think it rained down on us throughout the whole of last night. And it is still drizzling outside. Time to break out the brolly and dawn the yellow rain coat. My shoes got wet this morning. And I hate wearing soggy socks. Feels like I am tea bagging my toes.
Time check: 11:25. Time to head down to the canteen to lunch.

Do take a moment to appreciate life as it is. People up North, right above the Gulf of Siam are at the brink of civil war. Life will become a lot tougher when hell breaks loose at any moment.

I have been busy lately. Not with work but i am glued to the tv, drumming away on my new toy. Hahah! It is a stress relief and I thoroughly enjoy myself. It feels almost like I am able to play the drums. Now I am so inspired to go take up drum lessons.
Alright! Enough with the day-dreaming and I should get back to work.
Weekend awaits! Yippie!
One more day to go for MYE 2010. :P

3rd day of MYE. Weather is extremely humid. The environment is not helping those taking the exams and those invigilating it. Looks like the climate will stay this way for a while. Time to get started with work or else I will never ever meet the deadlines.

Mother's day today. My mom is residing overseas at this point in time, so I can officially declare today as "NOT" MOTHER'S DAY. Today is I CAN DO ANYTHING I WANT and SAY ANYTHING I WANT DAY!.

I caught my favourite NBA team in action yesterday morning and they won! I was like yelling and shouting through-out the game. My neighbours must have thought that I have gone mental.

I got into the school system and I keyed in the conduct grades and remarks after like a million tries. I spent the entire morning trying to log in. Talk about being "productive"

Now I am just going to clean up and then have a quick lunch, do some ironing and then start untying the stack of unmarked scripts. Sigh!

Saturday. Time to start work.

Wednesday and 1 day to MYE 2010

The minute I stepped into my home, it started pouring heavily. Talk about good timing.

Today I tried a little online self directed learning. It backfired, because instead of reading the passage first, they skipped the passage and they umped right into the quiz. And all they did is go through the motion to complete the quiz any old how, without referring to the comprehension passage. It totally defeated the purpose of the online lesson. :( I am staring to believe that the reason why they were NOT learning lies solely with me. They definitely needed a teacher tyrant.

Note to self: Time to return back to the boring classroom teaching and learning. Writing and comprehension - questions and answers on paper.

Tuesday and 2 days to MYE 2010

got them to draft out a 350 words essay within 30 minutes. Valiant attempt even though most of them wrote rubbish. ha!
Other than the crazy warm weather, I have nothing much to complain about.
Ready or not the MYE dawns on you come Friday. Hit the books and start revising. Don't wait till the last minute.

bought loads of bread from "my bread garden" and a webcam to test out the video conferencing available on the web. The increasing bandwidth of internet speed will definitely make video conferencing an "in" thing in a few years time. Teaching and learning will take on a whole new perspective in time to come. Trust me! Imagine taking the mid year exams at home. And coming to school for only three times a week for CCA.

Saturday afternoon outing

I went to Peach Garden for Tim Sum buffet. On my way out I bumped into a blind guy whose on a walking stick. Ok I should not assume that he was blind just because he was wearing sun glasses indoors. He almost fell over, but I caught him in the arms and held him up before he could fell over. I said sorry like a million times to him. His wife starred at me with "evil" eyes. I thought for one second, she was trying to fry my brains telepathically.
